What is Heuristics? Here’s Wikipedia’s definition: Heuristic refers to experience-based techniques for problem solving, learning, and discovery. Where an exhaustive search is impractical, heuristic methods are used to speed up the process of finding a satisfactory solution.
Why am I talking about Heuristics? Well, through my journey towards building a balance, I’ve discovered that my approach has always been one derived from my cognitive bias and heuristically-based mind. Even if I read books that counsel me against a certain path, I believe I’m in a different position and up end making mistakes and learning from those mistakes.
I’m discovered it is better to embrace these mistakes and take life on the horns. People would describe me as a personable mediator. I don’t engage in aggressive and belligerent behavior and stray away from conflict. But it’s not always a good thing. Conflict teaches you a certain level of human interaction dynamics. Still, conflict carries negative connotation so if a mutually beneficial agreement can be sought out, it is usually the best result.
Give yourself the benefit of doubt. Make mistakes. Learn from your experience. Forgive the platitudes, but embrace your life and live to the fullest.
