I need to be more humble. I’ve learned so much over the course of these past 4 years, but there is so much that I don’t know. At first, it was unimaginably terrifying to meet people in a position of authority. I meet vice presidents and presidents. They are much older than I am and I respect them.
The types of questions that they ask, the way they phrase their questions, and the manner they compose themselves go much deeper than conventional thinking. I can recognize the small details that they put into. It’s a skill I need to learn and nurture.
In literature, we’re taught to analyze each and every detail. At the time, it seemed like a bunch of crap, but it is a critical skill to have. Analyze each detail. You need it in the future.
